On April 23, 2026, according to WTO notification G/TBT/N/BRA/1630, the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro) of Brazil issued Public Consultation No. 8 proposing a draft MERCOSUR Metrological Technical Regulation on Quantitative Indication for Cosmetics.

On April 24, 2026, the South African Department of Agriculture published Government Notice No. 7412 in Government Gazette No. 54557 (RG 11984), establishing regulations relating to the classification, packing and marking of mayonnaise, salad cream, salad dressing and salad oil dressing intended for sale in South Africa. The regulation took effect upon publication.
